Former Salt Lake City planning director lands in South Jordan - Salt Lake Tribune

Posted: 5:14 PM- Fewer than three hebdomads after he was released by Mayor Ralph Becker, Salt Lake City's former planning director, Saint George Shaw, have been named South Jordan's new community-development director. "I'm excited," Henry Wheeler Shaw said Wednesday. "It's nice to be wanted."
South Jordan River River City Director Ricky Horst said that unlike the capital, South Jordan is a growing metropolis with a clean palette. "We're delighted to have got him," Horst said. "He's going to be the long-range guy that takes the vision and sets it in finite terms."
Shaw, who begins March 31, said he looks forward to shaping South Jordan's transit-oriented development near new commuter- and light-rail lines, along with the Dawn Town Center. Henry Wheeler Henry Wheeler Shaw said he always will have got a soft topographic point for Salt Lake City, which he called "a metropolis of fate unlike any other in the world."
